In order to meet different consumer groups, some subsidiary brands by BYD were found, for example, the Yangwang brand is considered as the luxury car brand under BYD, and until now, two vehicles including Yangwang U8 and Yangwang U9 were released, one is the full-size luxury SUV while the other one is the 2-door coupe sports car.

In China, the Yangwang U9 went on sale in February 2024, however, the production quantity at the time is limited, and mass production began in August, almost half a year later.

With the release of Yangwang U9, its related diecast model now can be found in the market and it is a 1/18 scale model mainly for collection.

Like the BYD Yangwang U8, the Yangwang U9 was only released in one color, purple, I have no idea more colors of Yangwang U9 will be released or not soon. As for functions, two car doors, bonnet and trunk can be opened or closed as real U9. In my opinion, it is a great diecast model with detailed exterior and interior, the only reason for buyers not ordering the car model is the price, more than 400USD, and I hope the price will be dropped later.
